In 1998, 3 young and talented girls made a connection at the The Stamps-Baxter School of Music that would form a gifted musical trio focused on sharing the love of Christ through song. Over the next 8 years, God would open doors for ADORATION and allow them to minister to congregations and Gospel Music fans across the Southeastern United States. In 2006, after much prayer, the group decided to come off the road to focus on family. After a 3-year sabbatical that included the birth of six children between the 3 current members, the music has returned and the goal has not changed:
" It is our desire to share the love of Christ and the peace of putting all trust in Him through our music and testimony in any venue He opens to us. We want to be used to encourage Christians and offer a hope to those who do not know Him. We count it an honor to use our talents to glorify Him and to share worshipful moments with those we are privileged to minister to."

Cayce
I started singing as a little girl with my parents. We traveled around for several years singing in local churches. Even at this early age I knew God’s plan for my life was to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ through song. Around the age of 14 I met Joy and began singing with she and her Dad in a group called “The Singing Couriers”. We learned so much from that four year journey and were blessed in so many ways. I truly believe singing in that ministry was God’s way of preparing us for the next chapter in our lives…Adoration. I am mow married to my childhood sweetheart, Eric Chavis. We have been married for almost 5 years and have two beautiful sons. Luke is almost 4 years old and Layton is almost 2. I have my Nursing degree and currently work as a School Nurse in a small town close to home. My goals in life are first and foremost to live a life that is pleasing in God’s eyes and to serve Him always with my whole heart. Second, to always cherish the call that has been placed on my life and never take it for granted. Last but not least be the best wife and Mom I can possibly be to my husband and children. They are the beats of my heart. I am looking forward to all God has planned for Adoration in the upcoming months and years. I pray God will always be in the center of our ministry, our hearts will remain humble, and that God will pour His anointing over us so we can be a blessing to those along our way.

I was born and raised in a Christian home in Bennettsville , SC, where Southern Gospel Music became an important part of my life at a very early age. My mother and father both traveled with a local gospel quartet (my mother played the piano and my dad sang lead) and traveling weekends was a part of our lives. At the age of 15, I was saved in a gospel singing and I sang my first solo in church shortly afterwards and thus began my own ministry in gospel music. At the age of 19 I joined my father's quartet, The Singing Couriers, where I ministered with my dad for 4 years. In 1998 Cayce and I attended a singing school in Nashville , TN and that is where Adoration was born. We traveled for 8 years before taking a 3 year sabbatical to have children. My husband (Mike) and I are now the proud parents of two daughters (Lillie, 4 and Rylie, 2) and a son ( Brandon , 16). During that time I served as the Music Director at Pine Grove Baptist Church in Rockingham , NC. I left that position to pursue a solo music ministry, during which time I won 1st Place in the Singing in the Foothills Talent Search in North Wilkesboro , NC, and recorded my second solo project entitled “All the Glory and Honor”. Additionally, I have been given the honor of filling in for Mrs. Connie Hopper of the Hoppers many times in the past 7 years. What a thrill! I am now filled with great joy and anticipation as the ministry of Adoration is given a second chance to finish what it started. I truly am honored that God would continue to use me – unworthy as I am – and I am thrilled to be ministering once again with my best friends. It is our desire to encourage the Christian, inspire the non-Christian, and to uplift the name of Jesus Christ. It is my personal desire to present my body a living sacrifice, holy acceptable before God, which is my reasonable service (Romans 12).

Raised in a pastor's home, I was always around Gospel music. I began singing in church at around age 3 and have not stopped since that time. As a teen, I was involved in talent competitions locally and nationally and had the opportunity to begin travelling across the U.S. and ministering in various churches through the Alabama All-State Choir sponsored by the Alabama District Assemblies of God. From there I attended Southeastern College of the A/G in Lakeland, Florida and recieved my Bachelors in Psychology and a Minor in Sacred Music and Theology. In 1996, I began singing with a group called Inheritance based in Ft. Payne, Alabama and was able to meet a lot of people in both the Music industry and in local churches. It was while I was with Inheritance that I had my first opportunity to perform on a national platform at National Quartet Convention - singing on the Main Stage - and appearing on TBN. In 1999, I had the opportunity to join The Nelons from Smyrna, Georgia. I had grown up listening to The Nelons and felt it was a great honor to sing with such a well-respected group. During that time, I was able to participate in several Gaither Homecoming tapings, the Gaither Homecoming Tour as well as make appearances on TBN and INSP on such programs as Praise the Lord, Swan's Place and The Love Special w/ Nancy Harmon.
In 2001, after taking some time off from road-life and singing, I met Joy and an immediate bond and friendship was formed. I began singing with Adoration in December 2001. There have been a lot of changes in my life since that time . . . I am now married to the love of my life, Adam, and I am the mother to the two angels God blessed us with - Adan is 4 yrs. old and Carlyn is 2. They are the focus of my daily life and I feel so grateful that God has bestowed such awesome gifts to me. Being back with Adoration is such a joy and allows me the opportunity to fulfil the call God has had on my life since I was a child. It is such an honor that He has entrusted such a huge responsibility to us and I do not take it lightly. Singing and speaking into the lives of believers is a goal of Adoration and it is also my personal mandate. I continue to live in amazement as I continue to see the doors He is opening and the opportunities that are to come. I cannot wait to keep stepping through those doors and allow Him to use me however He sees fit.
